Our mission is to help artists develop their fan base and monetize their music. FanDistro provides artists with a platform for creating and managing rewards programs and provides tools for monetizing music.

  • Michael Penfield - Founder,CEO

    Michael Penfield > Founder, CEO

    Michael's experience is comprised of music, finance and technology. A longtime singer/songwriter, Michael started gigging at age 15 and financed college by performing in the Denver area. He gigs regularly in the New York area today. He has released two CD's and has recorded with a number of Grammy nominees and winners. His band has more than 1,700 Facebook fans. In finance, Michael worked 18 years as an investment banker in New York City (Merrill Lynch, The Lodestar Group, and SG Cowen), specializing in Mergers and Acquisitions for financial services companies. In technology, he founded and sold a finance technology company that created the secondary market for leases and has filed patents, led coding, and raised capital for FanDistro. Michael especially likes php, javascript, jquery, and html5. Michael was an Honors Scholar with degree in Finance from the University of Denver and was recognized for his achievements in the field of Finance by the school in 2008. He is an Eagle Scout.   • Steve Tramposch - Managing Director, Strategic Partnerships

    Jonathan Block > Advisor

    Jonathan is an entrepreneur based in San Francisco and the Founder/Chairman of Startup Hour Productions and TheHub.fm. Prior to TheHub, Jonathan was a Partner at Adva Mobile, a music industry mobile marketing/sales company that launched over 2000 band and brand mobile sites since 2008. He has a 34 year track record in the music business, started a successful independent record company in 1982 while attending Syracuse University and served as Vice President at AGF Entertainment, a management company that managed the careers of Shawn Colvin, Suzanne Vega and Eric Andersen. Jonathan went on to launch Major Music, a management company known for establishing worldwide fan bases and significant revenue streams for a number of artists including G. Love & Special Sauce, Fun Lovin’ Criminals, Fred Wesley and The JB Horns.

  • Rob Grabowski - Business Development

    Rob Grabowski > Business Development

    Rob has been with FanDistro for the last 4 years. The nature of this engaged startup environment has Rob's days filled with multi-tasking anything from artist relations to web development & testing to creating business partnerships and everything in between. Rob's passion for music and technology makes FanDistro the perfect fit for him. Before FanDistro Rob was a software and web developer most recently at Inflexxion, which is a company that delivers interactive applications involved in student health, substance abuse and consumer health. Rob has been an active musician for the past 20 years. He has recorded 2 albums with 2 different bands, he released his first solo album in 2009 where he played all the instruments and released an EP in 2013. He is currently working on a new album which he hopes to release sometime next year. In addition, Rob has a Masters Certificate in guitar from BerkleeMusic. Check out his FanDistro page here.

    Tanguy Giraud

    Tanguy loves solving problems and implementing innovative ideas to do so. Yet, what really drives him forward must be his limitless fascination for music and artists. He believes that musicians are an endangered species and that FanDistro is fighting the appropriate challenges for the right reasons. Outside of Fandistro, Tanguy loves playing guitar with his band, brewing coffee and watching videos of weird animals online. Tanguy holds a bachelor of commerce from McGill University and his a current master candidate at New-York University.

    Mauricio Carey

    Mauricio Carey is Principal of Brooklyn-based c23 Creative a branding, design + web development boutique with 10+ years experience developing brand identity, print materials and interactive media. He's a bookworm, photographer, blogger, computer geek, drummer, musicologist and cinephile. And he's really trying to quit smoking.
